John Ransom was in Wakefield teaching at Wakefield Grammar School in1898 then in Adelaide, Christ'scollege 1904;  Christchurch New Zealandfrom 1910 to 1912. They travelled through South Afrika  .(1905 1908Johannesburg College) too get to Australia and they were in Canada1916 to 1918 I know my Grandmother Elizabeth was not a well woman andthere was some suggestion that the travelling was, in part, to find aclimate that suited her health.
